The Prophet Heralded by Jesus (Peace be Upon Him)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Jesus (PBUH), the last prophet of the Children of Israel… Miraculously created from the moment he was conceived… Born without a father, resembling Adam (PBUH) in this regard… Spoke to people while still in the cradle… A unique individual blessed with countless miracles…

He endured continuous hardship at the hands of the Children of Israel… Suffered great torment… Yet, he faithfully fulfilled his duty of delivering Allah’s message to them. He was the good news given by John (PBUH)… The awaited Messiah… But he too frequently heralded the coming of the final Prophet of the End Times. On one occasion, he said:

وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُممُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ…

“And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, ‘O Children of Israel! Indeed, I am the messenger of Allah to you, confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good news of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.’” Saff.61/6

Regarding this, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“I am the answer to the prayer of my forefather Abraham, the good news of my brother Jesus, and the dream of my mother Amina.”  (Müsned, 4/127, 128, 5/262; Hâkim, el-Müstedrek, 2/656)

Yes, the Mawlid al-Nabi was approaching… The blessed birth heralded by the tongue of Jesus (PBUH)… The universe held its breath, awaiting its final savior… Awaiting the leader of all humanity…
